Tid Bits: Falafel Chips

Anyone who knows me knows I have a major sweet tooth. Given a choice between something sweet and salty, salty doesn't stand a chance. Sweets and I are BFF's for life.

That is until I tried these chips. Now I'm questioning my once harmonious relationship with sweets. Perhaps its time for an 'It's Complicated' Facebook status change.

These chips are inhale the whole bag without taking a breath good. I am in love with falafel, so its no real surprise these chips floated my boat, tripped my trigger **insert favorite colloquialism here**

These chips taste exactly like falafel. The bag suggests dipping them in hummus which would undoubtedly be incredible. I also suggest using them for croutons on a Greek salad with tzatziki dressing, crushed up as a coating for baked chicken (or tofu, why not?), dipped into anything and everything delicious (fromage blanc, guacamole, black bean dip, baba ganoush and for the adventurous goat cheese and honey dip.

I had the original flavor, but they also come in spicy which I'm sure would cause me to develop episodes of sleep eating with bags disappearing three at a time.

A word of caution to all you who pound a bag of chips because you love salt...these chips might not be for you. I think one of the reasons I love these chips so much is they are virtually salt free (only 79 mg). I am really really salt sensitive, so a bag of Lays has running to the facet like Speedy Gonzalez. These chips are flavored with other seasonings including tumeric, so I hardly notice the lack of salt. Instead these chips grace the tongue with a savory, bean-y crunch.

Rudy gave him his seal of approval as well :D

So, sweets, you and I might be having a chat soon. It may start with something like this, 'soooo...I've found someone else...' Hopefully sweets won't take the news too hard.
